About Bury Larks
The Bury Larks Hockey Academy aims to give the children of West Suffolk and beyond the opportunity to experience the thrill, excitement and fun of this great game in the friendly, inclusive and accessible environment of Nowton Park at the heart of Bury St. Edmunds.
We will run after school activities, tournaments and holiday clubs and camps at Nowton Park for ages. All abilities are welcome:
This opportunity is available to all, even those who have never picked up a hockey stick before. Balls, sticks and equipment will be provided. All we ask is for those attending to bring a gumshield, shin guards and an enthusiasm to try some hockey!
Opportunities to progress
In the last 3 years, 3 girls and 1 boy from Bury have played for England age group teams. For those who fall in love with hockey, the Bury Larks Hockey Academy and BSEHC can provide further opportunities in playing or coaching, including progress towards the England Hockey player pathway.
Primary schools outreach
BSEHC qualified coaches already run school outreach sessions, regularly visiting local primary schools as part of the curriculum. These sessions will now be run as part of the Academy. If you’re school is interested, then please get in touch
