Personal Health Information - BSEHC takes the health and safety of all of its club members seriously. We are committed to ensuring that hockey is played in an environment where player safety is a high priority.
As a club we are aware that individual players may have specific health issues or conditions. Some of these may have the potential to be serious if not treated and responded to appropriately. In the past as a club we have collected health information as part of the player registration process. We no longer believe that this is an appropriate or useful means of protecting players. Information held in a database does not protect players!
It is the responsibility of any player with a health issue/condition to notify the match day captain/manager of this condition. For under 18’s it is the responsibility of their parent/carer to ensure that the match day captain/manager is aware of any significant issues/conditions.
All people who play and/or volunteer for the club subscribe as club members, sign up to and shall abide with the he club's Terms of Membership.
Copies of specific policies, procedures and codes of practice used in the management of the club and as signed up to by all members and volunteers, are available up on request from the club’s Management Committee.
(This list is not exhaustive and compliance and interpretation is ultimately at the absolute discretion of the Management Committee).
